This puts me to sleep immediately. No doubt best imitation of a storm so far. And the constant shuffle button really helps it sound real as well.

This is hands down my most favorite app! I started using this app more than a year ago to help drown out my husbands snoring! I cant go to sleep without it now. The newest update for background use is fantastic, just what I was waiting for! Now I can unwind and play an iPod game while my husband snores away blissfully and I dont have to hear it.

Great to fall asleep too. I love the randomization features. It sounds so much more natural than a simple looped sound clip. A++. Possible feature idea...I frequently sleep at night with headphones on listening to this app. I would love it if there was an option for the thunder, distance, and intensity to be synchronized with a timed flashing of the camera flash, so at night it would somewhat simulate an actual thunderstorm.

I love thunderstorms at night so this app is for me. The wind sounds a bit fake but the thunder is realistic and random enough to be believable. I like how each component of the storm can be controlled. Not to overkill on the noise factor but sometimes I turn on the storm app and also launch "gray noise" from their white noise app to play together. Something about the combination relaxes me and puts me to sleep.

I use this at work to cover up the background noise when concentration is needed. Works great.

##### Update ##### This app has been made even better. It now allows you to mix this app, with music from iTunes. Why is this good? Because I have learned subject matter by playing lectures while I slept in repeating loops over months and months. But its hard to try to sleep with lectures going on in your ear. Now by mixing the lecture with a storm, the mind can focus on the storm and ignore the lecture. (the goal is to then subconsciously become familiar with the subject matter to make learning more osmotic-like) ##### End update ##### I like this app. Out of the white noise apps out there, this one is the best. I like the sound of a storm raging on around me whilst I snuggle in bed warm and dry. Others apps are either boring (just white, pink, or brown noise), they have noticeable loops where I can identify repeating patterns which jars me back out of near sleep, or have lulls in the noise (such as reseeding waves) so the sound of the neighborhood breaks through. I use this by running it into a Creative 2.1 computer sound system that has a sub woofer on either side of my bed. This sub woofer and speakers with this app drowns out even a mariachi band a few houses down the street and the occasional party next door.

Love the customizable options and timer. This app helps me get to sleep!

I constantly use this on the road...easy to use and of great quality!

I like this app, but found that it drained my iPod Touch (3G) battery quickly. Under normal use, my Touch would go through a day and have about 80-90% battery strength remaining. With White Noise Storm installed, my battery was draining about 4-5% an hour. By the end of the day, I was down to 40%. I removed the app, and my battery use was back to normal. I will reinstall when a fix is released.

Absolutely awesome. I play the thunderstorm from my iPad to a Bluetooth speaker all night... Hardly affects the iPad battery. Now I cant sleep without it! But its the best sleep Ive had in a longtime. Super app!

I use this app while traveling and it is great. I am able to sleep without a problem.

Lots of options but I like just the rain. Have used it on my IPod for years and now on my iPhone.

Varying frequency and periodicity of sounds prevents habituation.
